The Minx story began in 2000 with the two sisters deciding to break into what Angela describes as a “mainly male-dominated industry.” Their stepfather owned a Waikanae shoe factory which they worked in after school and during the holidays. Here, Angela did an apprenticeship in shoe manufacturing before going abroad to study Footwear Design and Technology at De Montford University in Leicester.
